  • can anyone help me source flat black wrap material?

    Evening all,
Looking for a flat Matt black wrapping material. can either be unlamented or a material needs to be laminated to work with, don’t mind which.
Going to call around suppliers tomorrow but thought I’d ask around tonight.
Looking at making a rascal van into an ‘A Team’ van so does have to be Matt.
    Cheers

How easy is Avery 900 to handle? Going to be using it to do some colour change wraps soon.

I used it on my first ever wrap and although was tricky at first (being a novice) by the end of the wrap I was getting down large sections with very minimal bubbles.

Temperature is very important though for repositioning without it snapping.

    cheers

Yip, it’s not the easiest vinyl to work with being a thin cast but is much much much better than using something like Oracal 751c.

I’d totally forgotten that Paul, thanks. It’s a side project for my brother-in-law so i’ll let him know.
warren, did you try laminating it to thicken it up a bit?

no as the vinyl was supplied and I just fitted, it doesn’t need maninating, it’s fine on it’s own and was just saying it’s harder to use than a laminated vinyl due to the thickness but totally suitable as is.

Are you a freelancer Jas? Also has anyone tried the new 3M car wrap film which has a laminate pre-applied and low grab adhesive? They look as though they have a matt vinyl as part of that range.
