    Hi,
I havent used this machine in a while and I forget how to solve this problem. Everything is set up, the computer recognises the plotter etc, but it wont cut, any ideas? I know it is a simple fix, but I cant figure it out

hello there, I had a similar problem with my ct 630, similar machine I think, had the problem when I had to change computer and the new one didn’t have a com port , so had to use a usb adaptor lead, and set up a usb port as a com port 1. what I found was the information was trying to load to the cutter to fast, so I had to go into the port properties or something, and slow the transfer rate down, this cured my problem. as you can tell I am a complete computer whizz ha ha also before you try that I assume you have got your cutter ‘ on line ‘ ie not displaying the x y coordinates.

    Hi there Harry,

We run one and the only time we had the proble you describe we turned plotter off, closed sign cut, restarted sign cut and restarted plotter and all was fine.

What do you mean about showing the x, y, cordinates, my cutter shows ‘x-00
    y-00
    is that the problem?

Harry, I don’t know anything about this particular type of machine, but is the plotter set up on the correct port? It could be that your software is looking for the cutter in the wrong place.

    Marcella,
I have tried it on all ports, and nothing happens, however if I put it to summaUSB (the plotter is a KingCut) it moves the feeding wheels slighty but nothing else happens.
    It was working perfectly before.

hello again harry, on my P cut if the co-ordinates are showing on the display the cutter is NOT on line therefore dos’nt receive info from the computer, on mine there is an ….on line .. button on the control panel press this and on line should appear on the display and hopefully the cutter should work

Hi all, just an update to say that I apprediate your help, Im waiting for Kjell at Kingcut to get back to me re; the problem.
Mark, that button isnt on the Kingcut, but I think you might be close to the root of the problem.
    Thanks again

Harry, just a thought, our kingcut runs through signcut but it is a version specifically for kingcut plotters. Could be worth checking out which version you have installed, we got both versions with the plotter.
