  • can anyone help me find the chrome effect letters post?

Posted by Dave Bruce on 5 December 2005 at 16:45

I have a customer who likes a particular font from Gerber, Chrome effect, but not the brush chrome one. It is £70 +VAT to buy, but I was wondering how to create the effect so it can but used on any font, like import the chrome effect overlay the lettering and weld, then print on the Gerber.

Chris Wool did it on a Vito van

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Eye Candy is a plug in for corel and photoshop and you can fit it to any font or object and export to the edge as a tiff or whatever

If you register at adobe.com in the download area there are free filters and effects etc to download for photoshop and illustrator.
If you go to the styles there are free styles and some of these are chrome/metal effects (plus many others mother of pearl etc etc) and some are stunning.
Free to download better with broadband as you tend to download quite a few.

Thanks for the offer Pete but I would rather learn how to myself otherwise you never learn, what were you going to use (software)?

    Cheers

    Peter,

You can get Photoshop Elements 4 for about £50 at Amazon – has most of the main bits of Photoshop CS.
