I’m sure your software suppliers will be able to help you with an updated driver.

Did you pay 10x more for the Flexi than you did for the Plotter. If not then it is not surprising that the seller is unable to help. I am afraid you are unlikely to find any help here if you have some illegal software either.

The software alone is about £700 I think off the top of my head… with the plotter that would be about £1000… aaahh it’s a P-Cut.. I think they pay you for using one of those :lol1:

Sorry mate, but most pro’s and some amateurs on here will have paid £1000 minimum for a decent plotter. A few hundred to a few thousand pounds for software. If someone comes on here with jolly roger software what do you expect.

I think you will find it’s more than that David. And I would bet that Darren has been given the Pro version which is about £2500.

…Darren did it not come with Artcut? P-Cut’s are often bundled with that. It’s not the best but would at least get you going. If you don’t have it I think you can buy a legitimate copy for around £30.

    Darren,

I don’t think in this instance it is a case of ‘WE won’t help you because you have a ‘mickey mouse’ cutter’ – we have been down this road many times before, but this time I doubt if anyone on here WOULD be able to help.

Surely after every cut job that has been sent to the plotter and successfully cut you have to flick the grippers, slice off the cut vinyl from the roll, line the next roll of vinyl up, initialise the machine and press ‘send’ on the software. What is the difference if you have to do one more action (of flicking the on/off switch) every time?

The software issue sounds a bit iffy but I’d stick with this method until you are sure this is the business for you and then I URGE you to invest in a decent plotter and legal software. Surely nobody finds themselves homeless for the sake of £1400 which is all it need cost….

Then, get full membership on here, put up a photo, and the world will be your oyster – I promise

Yes i have a copy af artcut… like you say its not the best and it dont support a lot of formats…

In the past i used Graphics Advantage and signlab.. Ive been doin Signs of alsorts for 7 yrs on and off, I love the business and one day i will get another decent program and a GOOD plotter….
We all have to start some where dont we… Even if it is in the gutter…

    Forget Flexi horrible program.
Use WinPCSign I use pro on account I lost my original disk and it does the job fine except I still have to use a horrible USB dog to drive it.
