I am having a problem with my machine and wandered if anyone can help.

the problem is i design my job and it says its 54cm,s the media in the machine is 61 cm’s,the problem is it doesnt fit on when cut,the machine seems to stop cuttin about 3 inches from the left hand side and its got me beat.
there is easily plenty room left for it to fit on but it just wont

    thanks

    hi widget
dont know what software you use, Could it be that you need to poll the plotter for size?

In the PC600 driver, have you setup the media type? I think there is an option to make media type 24″ x 33″.. something like that. Its possible the machine thinks you’re using smaller media than you actually are.

    Cheers, Dewi

apoart from telling the driver what width – are the pinch rollers out to there furtest points the machine will only cut 30 mm less than the width of the pinch rollers

I have set up the media type in the drivers settings and the pinch rollers are set to the max distance but it still refuses to cut close to the rollers approx 3 inches away

My PC500 will not cut the last 3 inches. that is reserved for the movement of the print head. (my cutter follows behind the print head by about 3 inches.) if you can look at the size of your page and view the print /cut area available you may find its is smaller.

Thats what mine does, the print head goes to the edge of the vinyl but not the cutter,so in reality the pc-600 can only cut approx 20″ and not 24″. so i would be better to set up my page at 20″ x whatever length?

seams a waste of vinyl in my opinion.

surely theres a way around this because my software thinks it can fit on but it cant

    Yo Wiggeeee

    we run a pc60

even though we put a 610mm roll in it will only cut MAX of 560-565mm..

so you have to size the page or artwork around your width..

    regards Dman…
