can anyone add anymore eye catching ideas to this van?
Posted by Andrew Ward on 9 December 2003 at 18:22Well i wanted somthing that would be eye catching and stand out from the norm.
Today i applied the full colour graphics & when i get a few hours spare i will apply the main text.
But heres a few pics of the van at the momentAndrew Ward replied 21 years, 10 months ago 8 Members · 11 Replies -

Hey first time I saw that I thought “new BT van” I like the light reflections on the circles, very clever, the word “signs” is way too small though, its gonna look lost in that panel, I’d double its size at least and the other text I wouldn’t bother outlining not when its that small, it will make it dificult to read. Whats with the roof signs you got a lot of helicopter firms that way 😆 😉 🙂

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Point taken on the text Steve. Ive had this idea for sometime & when i saw a BT van with their new “openworld” logo, i did think “Oh No”.As for the logo on the roof, yes there are a few Airports around here. But i do go into a lot of areas with office blocks. Also when im in traffic the truckers can’t really get away with not seeing it!
I did do a test drive Today around my local town 😳 Just to judge peoples reactions. Well it did turn alot of heads 😛

Well done Andrew, that van will look stunning when it’s finished. What a great advert for your business 😀

what make of vinyl did you use for the large centre graphic, any problems with the vans contours?

Looking good Wardie, but… lol there’s always a but isn’t there!
I’m just thinking your web address is quite low and lacking contrast, how well does vinyl apply to plastic trim?
Nice job tho’

All the circles were printed on Graphtec Cast vinyl.First time i have used it and i have to say it was very easy to use.Applied the vinyl in the normal way, working on the large flat areas and then working the vinyl into the contours with a heat gun. The contours on the kangoo are shallow so not to bad to do.
All text will be in 7 year Mactac.Magpie. I tend to stay clear of trim (Unless wraping).
Thanks again everyone for your input.
