  • can a harder wearing vinyl be sourced?

    Afternoon,

A new customer has given us the job of his Two lorry’s, one of which is a new Merc box, his unit is on a farm estate and as such the tree’s have a field day (no pun intended) with the top 40% of the sides, is there a harder than usual wearing vinyl I could recommend, he’s looking for a grey/silver/chrome.

    Thanks

    Mark B

Might be good to laminate the vinyl before you cut it perhaps?

😳 I did it today on chrome myself. works well, just remember to put the pressure up on your blade when you go to cut it …. 😉

:lol1: :lol1: I usually find when anyone meets me in person it goes from ‘Mr Drew’ to ‘hey old fella’ :lol1:

Nice to see some respect though for us older citizens….

Will I still be seeing you and Gloria at the Gold Coast sign show on Friday Mike?

Yes Shane We will be there. We have booked into the Bay lodge apartments( one of those cheap holiday packages they pester you about when tele-marketing) for Friday Sat & Sunday night Planning to have a good relaxing time and spend as much time as needed at the show. When you know as little as I do most of the first few hours are spent going oh! ah! did you see that what was that by the way?
Then we spend as much time as we can picking brains. I’ve got 4 years to retirement and I would like to retire believing that I was a good sign writer.
That’s the one down side of these boards, they truly show me how amateurish I really am. I am just gob smacked by some of the work the people on here can produce and all of them think it’s just normal
    Cheers Mike

Don’t sell yourself short Mike. I’ve seen your work and I was honestly impressed. I’ve seen more experience sign shops do worse.

But you are right, some talent on these boards leave me shaking my head and thinking that I might give up and go and wash cars or something. I’m encouraged by the fact that most guys and gals here leave their egos at home….

Sounds like your going to have a good break then.
