Sorry Sanjay. Are you buying a SP540 or a Cammjet? I don’t understand what buy backing is?

They are upgrading the SP 540 here with third party Full Solvent ink in a bulk feeder here in Oz with great results. Having said that, eco solvents are better now than they were.

    Cheers

    Hi Sanjay

I bought an SP540 from Roland 3 months ago.

We use the Eco_sol Max inks and we’ve really had no problems at all and the quality is superb. It requires almost no maintenance.

    Sanjay,

I’ve converted my SC540 to Techink’s Full Solvent Bulk system 18 months ago, had no drama’s at all.

Pretty common to have Rolands running on a Techink Bulk system here.

You will have to get the machine re-profiled if you change from the roland inks, but once that is done, you’ll find it will operate like any other machine.

Cost wise, Techinks 1 litre bottles work out at 1/2 the price per litres as Rolands 220ml cartridges (here at least).

Other systems are available in bulk systems of course. The citrus based oneas are very good too. Not sure on costs tho.

    Hope that helps

:lol1: :lol1: Re Profiling? Every machine needs to have ‘profiles’ to print at its optimum on each type of material.

The machine will always print best, if using ‘profiles’ created using the ink and the material of choice.

Because I use Oracal exclusively, I’ve had my machine profiles set up on Oracal materials.

Hope that makes sense? 😕 Sorry mate, didn’t mean to confuse you.

I’ll find a techink agent for you tomorrow. It is 6:45pm here, and everyone is closed 😉
