I use this on my Mimaki JV3 (dual CMYK)……….over 18 months now and never a problem.
Worth getting permanent chips fitted 😀John

Hey John,
I also have a JV3 on bulk fed ink, mine comes with a chip you replace every 1ltr ( so they say ! ). is this what you use??
Cheers

No, I never have to replace the chip……saves £10 per litre because I do not need chips everytime.

Have any of you seen the prices of the Chinese ( 😮 ) inks…..
A mate of mine who owns a sign business in the next town recently imported a Chinese printer. – With duties & transport, landed at N$ 50 000 (Roland about 4x as much) This printer has Epson printheads as well. The ink is suitable for the Roland eco solvent printers, their claim not mine!
But the ink……this thing has cartridges that look like the Roland ones, but refillable. Ink comes in 1 litre bottles, 12 to a box. A box of each colour comes out at N$ 1300.00 ( About GBP 130.00) – That is for 4×12 LITRES of ink !!. Price comes to about GBP 2.70 per litre. Exactly 100 times less than Roland ink !
But I still wont chance it! I recently worked out that thus far over the lifetime of my 2 Rolands that ink costs were only 3% of the selling price of digital print. (based on the price of laminated prints. Obviously the percentage is even less for signboards etc) Not worth it to stuff around with something for such a insignificant saving.
