Good job Pete, its not the Hiviz & Hats missing but the lack of harness which are compulsory in all cherry pickers. Is that you in the picker or a couple of fitters, truck should be coned off as well

I was advised a full harness is advisory, not compulsory, but if used should be full restraint.
I have them in stock, and give the option to the operatives if they choose to wear them, Can you point me to the relevant legislation for future reference please.

Nice BIG job for the portfolio Peter, well done mate and thank you for taking the series of pictures and loading them. those flies on the hi-viz ming me out. scratching thinking about them.

I think i would have used a middle support either running the length of the sign in the middle (just packing the sign out level with the parralell fixing rails, or better still, down the joins of the panels.
i am sure those lugs on the panels will hold the panels closed adequately but wind on the face will cause a sag and open the panels in the middle. now that said, you may have "interlocking" lugs on the joining panel which should eliminate any weaknesses. regardless, i am sure all will be fine, just thinking out loud looking at the sign being so high up and exposed.

regarding harnesses… The Pot Calling The Kettle…. comes to mind here. :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

OK its a gotcha 😀
But in my defence. I dont need health and safety to look after me, same as you dont, I use common sense, but a lot dont have it, so thats when H&S need to be followed.

Actually no, I priced them up using both, gave the customer the option.
and the ally gave me the best profit

I’ll be honest mate, i wouldn’t have offered a price on folded composite board for this size of sign. I am not saying it couldn’t be used, but just not something ide be comfortable with at this size and exposed to the elements. as i mentioned earlier… ide even have used some internal straps/packers to reduce the flex with face on winds.
