Posted by Gavin Conway on 3 August 2010 at 20:41Hi Guys… sorry if this is in the wrong section but I am only a poor basic member so cant post this in file swapping forum..
I need a couple of logos for a Britool sales van which is my first big van job and hope someone can help.. I have tried all the google and brand logo sites but cant find some that I need..
I need a "BRITOOL" logo with red line under with "THE MARQUE OF SKILL" with the spanner socket looking sub logo to go with it… Secondly I need a "Sykes-Pikavant" logo..
Please can anyone help out.. Regards Gavin

the reason you cant find them is that britool guard their logos, they sell franchises like Mac and Snap On, part of the franchise agreement is that the franchisee buys the branding, if you are looking to sign up a van, ask the owner to provide the decals, for you to fit, otherwise you and your customer may have a problem.
I had a chap ask me to do MAC tools van they other day, I think he was just doing a "con" job. the van he had was very old and hand painted!File swapping forum is good value, but doubt if anyone would pass on legit artwork for franchised operations.

‘cmon Gav – it’s only £15 a year….
Their OFFICIAL logos will be available from their website secure downloads area.
Your customer should have access to it.

Hi Peter .. yes I gather that they protect them.. I will ask the guy to supply. He is a legit franchisee so he should be able to supply.. I was just trying to make it quicker..
I know it would be a good thing to pay extra for the various forums access but I am just a very small fry home based operator and cant justify the expense!! hence I’m on the scrounge for info from time to time.
Its being brought up in Africa where we always had to "make a plan" to fix something and everyone in the community always helped each other for FREE – that’s where my philosophy comes from so never pay for anything that I can try to get free.. it would be good to see more free places on the forum..

The Bronze will get you basic access – including the File Swapping.
The higher ones ‘unlock’ other features. The top UKSB includes some features such as a discount from certain suppliers, revealing peoples websites and the general ability to PM.
Basically – take what you need. £15 is a great starting point and makes the site so much more usable…and gives you the opportunity to join in more and upload your work.
FREE is always good no denying it…but this is a commercial website and it cost money to run. The entry level is well worth the money it saves searching round for something just in time.

So gavin
presumably you are making the signs for free, and in turn the Britool man will give you free tools? This is a helpful forum, and we do help, but if you want to proceed in any business,
then you need to buy the equipment and materials to do so.
Part of the equipment, could be considered a subscription to the file swapping and other areas of this forum, many people have put hours of there own time into producing demos and tutorials,
Nothing is really free in life, it always has a cost to someone. When you say Africa, where exactly do you mean? could be Egypt, Morocco or Nigeria?
amongst many other countries

Gavin,
You did it once, no reason why you cant do it again (build a business)you have been there and done it, so you if anybody, should know the value of a little investment in the right place, a couple of quid a week to uksg, is actually less than a pint of beer…
and if you cant afford a pint, then you really are desperate 😀

I echo what David and Peter are saying here. The UKSB membership was the best £75 I ever spent. You would not regret joining 😉
