  • Bottom Loading Alupanel into Slimtrim

    Hi everyone

We have been asked to do a shop front sign thats 2500mm x 500mm. We are going to be using Slimtrim from Amari Plastics and Alupanel thats 3mm thick and all this will be backed onto a plywood surface. The problem is that we cant load the sign from the sides or the top due to obstructions that cant be avoided. 😕

So my question is can we load the sign from the bottom? (?)

Any help or suggestions very welcome!! 😀

    Cheers

    Chris

Not sure on that, but you could use unitrim from universal, it basically has removable trim like an illuminated box.. When they do the frame make sure you tell them its for 3mm panels, also put in some spacers in the bottom just to lift the panel up a bit, this will help stop the water traveling up the panel and leaving green moldy marks

Hi, you could try the dibond frame as seen in the SignUpdate ad page 65 Jan/ Feb issue, or http://www.insightsignsystems.com.

We’ve just installed 30 of the Dibond panels from Insight and found it was easier than making our own!
