Selling a book on "Making wooden signs" as I dont have the time to sit down and make them. It covers routed, sand blasted, carved, fret cut and painted wooden signage. Excellent chapters on whats needed, design layout, construction and installation. Currently listed on Fleabay, but will de-list if a member would like to purchase.

Hi Warren, I paid £45 for it and am open to offers. I believe you are like me and probably would like to do this, but dont have the time to dabble and get started. I also have a guilding kit that I have used on 2 sets of letters and gathers dust on the top shelf of the workshop.

Just let me know what you want to do……………

    Cheers

    Graeme

you are so right mate, I don’t have the time but I bought a router about 2 months ago for a potential job that never came through and am still yet to even take it out the box 😳 🙄 (and it’s a nice Dewalt one too :lol1: ) I would really like to get more hands on on some of the stuff I buy in (even though I know it’s probably cheaper still to buy in) but I really enjoy making things etc which is why I chose this path as a career so would really like to do something but I don’t have time. I’m cutting 225m of vinyl this weekend for a job this week, got 3 days to cut, weed, tape and trim these graphics as there is a deadline I have to meet.

I was actually looking for a book on how to use a router as I have never used one before and don’t even know where to start, I actually had to ask the guy in the shop what I needed and how it works as I needed to curve the edges on a foamex board 😳 he must of thought I was a plum :lol1:

What book is it Geame as I will see if it’s worthwhile or if I should just try find one more specific to routering (is that a word? "routering" ? :lol1: )

    cheers

    Warren

There is a big section on routing, with plenty of advice on laying the work out, making jigs etc……….

Book is called "Making Wood Signs"
