    Hello All
Just a brief intro, I’ve spent most of my working life in the decorating/building trades but due to a change in my personal circumstances I now have to spend a lot of time working from home.

After a lot of deliberation I’ve decided to get myself a cutter/plotter . My only experience of vinyl cutting was a lot of years ago on I think a gerber?, a bit like a large grey typewriter with the cutter mounted on the top.

I did also do a couple of years at college (again a long time ago ) but that was all brushwork and although i still have my kit, all nicely greased up, what little talent I might have had has deffinately deserted me.
So I’m hoping your boards are the right place for me to get the help I will undoubtedly need

    Cheers

    Fred

    Bienvรฉnue Fred!
Those old skills aren’t dead, they are just laying dormant.
You can use your knowledge of both old & new techniques.
I cut on a Fred Flinstone Gerber 4E every day!
But I paint as well, and have a big kit full of oily brushes with sticky handles.
You will like this site. Enjoy!
    Love…Jill

    Hello Fred.

Good username. Look forward to hearing more from you as you get back into the swing of the trade. Loads of experts on here, most of ’em are mental, but very helpful.

    Hi Freddie

    Big Welcome to the site

I understand you’ve had a dabble with the ‘ol paint brush. It might surprise you how quickly you can get into it again. Give it a bash.

Your experience in painting and decorating will not go amiss either as there are plenty of folks who want to have the traditional wooden boards all painted up and signwritten

    Enjoy the site

    John
