John, I get a few months out of mine.
I use one for normal material, and one for reflective.
You may have the blade pressure to deep from the start.
When it is new, I do some sample cuts with the new blade at the lowest pressure I can, but still weed ok.
Cast material (7725,751,avery900) will need less pressure than a cal material. The cheaper the cal, the more pressure usually.
What Roland do you have? On my Camm1 1000mm wide, I usually start with a new blade on 70 on the pressure guide, and over time, add 5 every few weeks. I don’t usually replace the blade until I am up around 120 or so, or the material is not cutting or weeding properly.
Use a 40deg blade on normal material, and a 60deg blade on reflective, as a rule of thumb.
Hope that helps mate.
Cheers
