  • black frosted vinyl supplier?

    Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen!

We apologise for not being about for a while, but have been busy trying to get some things up and running.
We’re pleased to say that things are going relatively ok and will be posting some pics of our success so far soon!
We would however like some direction on a new prospect, we have been asked to provide some window graphics for a new company in our town. Fairly straight forward stuff, but rather than just flood coating the glass with frosted vinyl and picking the text out leaving a void behind, i thought it would create more of an impact to fill in the blanks with coloured frosted vinyl. I know MDP supply various colours of frosted vinyl, but not black. I was wondering if anyone knows of a supplier of black frosted vinyl. I’ve searched online and cannot find anything.
Worst case we’ll just use solid black, but as we can do part of the design in frosted red, it’d be nice to make it all look uniform!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

    Andy & Katy

Hi Kevin, good to hear from you again!

Sorry we’ve not come to see you yet, your advice re: the golf boards was invaluable, they just didn’t feel it was right for them at the time!

I see what you’re saying, but its a very limited window space, they want as much light as possible.
Whereas your usual frosted vinyl with text removed would be ok, it wont be very visible in this line of property.
So i need to infill the missing "frosted text" with preferably "black frosted vinyl" to give it maximum visibility. if that makes sense!

    Cheers

what Kevin means is if you get someone to print black onto normal etch it will become black etched vinyl,
get them to print a large square, and then you can plot your text on your own plotter
