best place for a pump

is it the new style pump or the old
i went through about 5 of the old click click click pumps the tubing wears pretty quick
i have had the new pump fitted with no problems
i would advise having it fitted by an engineer as the settings need changing otherwise you will waste loads of ink 😮
i can recommend a top notch engineer if you need one

well i had many pumps for our JV3, they are based on the pipe being rubbed by a spindle, its nothing exciting… there is many similar versions out there…

i consider a pump to be a consumable, one will go every 6 months to a year. Mainly because they are poorly designed, i have fixed them with new piping.

Takes about an hour to swap it, just change unclip the hoze connectors and one screw and lift out. However you may need to syringe ink thru if you dont have any ink in the head afterwards.

There is bubbles of air in our pipes, its never a perfect seal and it is pumping so air will get trapped. All normal.

cheers guys, i ask about the air lock because when the ink is in the bubbles harden over the weekend, that never happed with the old pump, it turns on and runs a clean every 12 hrs but it doesnt clear it all
