  • Best means of advertising??

    Hi All,
I’m open about 3months now. I’m working from home as i have a big double garage and lots of room. I have a sign outside my house on the road to let people know I’m there. I’ve handed out quite a few business cards to local businesses. I’m trying to think of other ways to advertise and get my name out there and make people aware of me. I know word of mouth is the best and that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Anybody any ideas or tips for me would be greatly appreciated.

My advice would be to spend some time reading through old posts on the forum and stop keep asking the same question.

I’m sure there’s an echo on here!
There is no easy way to do it. Do what most of us did. Walking and talking and doing. It’s a long road fella so make sure you have a good budget set aside for shoes! 😉

Sorry, I have never heard of any short cuts that work.

Advertising is only part of your marketing, but your right about word of mouth, but it takes years. Satisfied customers are the initial seeds.

If you can do a decent job for your first couple of dozen customers( not friends or favours), over time there recommendation will bring in more customers.

But If you start off not charging enough so you convert sales, you only get a reputation for being cheap…….and you end up with permanent enquiry stream wanting unviable prices.

As its already been said, its a long road……
but watch what path you go down.

    Keep a positive long view,
the short term is going to be a struggle.
