    Hi

I am trying to find the best glue to use on clear polycarbonate that will dry to a totally clear finish. A supplier would be helpful as well.

    Thanks
    Gary

    Thanks Ian

How does this differ from dichloromethane methyl methacrylate better known as Tensol 12. This is what I have used recently but it dry’s/evaporates so fast its hard to work with. I have read that Weld-on 4 is perfect for the job but can’t locate it in the UK.

It different from tensol 12 in that it’s 1/20 the price.

MEK is basically a solvent for polycarbonate, Put it into a syringe, and offer you two pieces up together, Squirt a small piece into your joint and you have an instant bond as soon as the Solvent evaporates, it’s not fully cured for 24/ 48 hrs but will hold almost instantly.

The same applies with Dichloromethane for acrylic, cost pennies but is brilliant a Glueing a tight joint.

    Cheers Ian

I will give it a try, do you dilute it or use it neat?
