This really takes me back to when I was a ‘brushman’ I used to use sword liners rather than the long haired ones but other than that everything was the same down to the tin for flicking your brush out in. I sometimes miss the out and out skill of the craft but not the cold winters in unlit, unheated barns or workshops signwriting a van, traction engine or similar.
