We have printed onto a banner for the 1st time and we are at the stage of eye letting.

I was told to simply fold and eyelet the material but surely it needs sewing too to stop ‘bunching’.

The pre prepared variety are sewn and have very few eyelets, is this to save on cost and could i get around this by adding more eyelets.

I don’t really want to sew if i can help it.

    Any advice welcomed

You can tape it with easyhem tape then add your eyelets.
Suppliers like Grafityp do the tape.

Regrading eyelets a descent sized banner will have them at
    around every 1mtr, normally sufficient.
