Banner printing problem, Help and advice please?
Posted by Iain George on 10 February 2020 at 11:17Can someone please help. I have 28 banners to print and we have different colours? I have printed 14 and then had to change a phone number for the next 14. The only thing to change is the phone number. Same artwork, same rip, same material. We printed 14 this morning had a cuppa changed the phone number and sent to the printer.

The only thing I can think of is has the print file changed from working in cmyk to RGB or vice versa?

Open both up in Illustrator and colour pick both to make sure the CMYK values are the same – Them blues aint even close?

It looks to me like a CMYK / RGB issue as well.

It is odd as all I have done is changed the phone number in Corel then exported as PDF. Opened in Flexi and press print. Not touch another thing.

Check your settings in Core – when exporting as pdf within the advanced features you have options to save colours as rgb cmyk or grayscale. It may have been changed from RGB to CMYK or vice versa by mistake

Have been checking all sorts but need to print them. So went back to original file from the first 14 prints copied it to a new document changed the phone number exported as pdf and hey presto is now printing correctly[emoji3]. Something must have been clicked somewhere .
Thank you all for the help I am keeping my fingers crossed for these last prints and will have a good look tomorrow. -

Artwork ready yes, only looked at the phone number which I had to change. Client is one of our travelling community who provided the artwork and also expicity told me not to change anything but the phone number as I want them yesterday. I have sinced looked the artwork in more detail and these weren’t the only mistakes. :bangshead:

Not nit picking but Fascia has an ‘S’ in it too. Personally My printer would have had a meltdown if it had seen that many mistakes [emoji23][emoji23]
