  • Banner hemming tapes?

    Hi

    Can anybody recommend a strong adhesive tape for hemming banners
    i have 10 to make for a scaffolder who wants sleeves top & bottom for sliding the poles through.

    So needs to be quite a strong adhesive

    ‘Easyhem’ tape from http://www.grafityp.co.uk works fine for me Neil.

    think its called corribind from europoint, I used some this week and it seems to work very well.

    on a similar note does anyone know if its ok to just hem mesh banners or should they be stitched too?

    I used corribond on a small banner flag and it didn’t last too long.

    BannerBond from B & P is good, we buy it buy the box, have used it on mesh as well and was fine.

    cheers chris, did you need to stitch as well?

    I only ask as I would have to sub this element out which Im reluctant to do?

    No, just used the tape (however, we do eyelet the edges, so in this instance we made a pocket, and an eyelet each side as the tape has been known to separate in the past, that way it just strengthens the joins).
