hi just looking for some advice on this to make sure I am doing the right thing!

have just finished a diggie print 10ft x 3ft banner on my new machine heres what I did:

1 left a border of around 1.5" to fold back and hem with corribind tape,
2 once hemmed back I rolled along the hem to bond it better
3 then tidied up the corners
4 I then used my new banner punch with brass eyelets

it all looks fine to me, just wondered if this is the correct way to do it? also do you use tape the whole way around or in say 12" gaps?

woud appreciate advice before I use up all the countries tape!!!

    cheers
    graeme

    Hiya Graeme,
I put the tape all the way around the perimeter, but I use 1" tape wide tape and only use a 1" hem.

    We also use a 1" 3m tape, on a 1" hem.

You are doing it spot on 😉

cheers guys, so I assume taping all the way around is the way to go, mmmm
thats a cost I havent totally factored into pricing jobs up, suppose its better safe than sorry?

The distributors here no longer sell hemming tape, so I use doublesided tissue tape on a 35mm hem if I’m in a bind, otherwise I send it out to get welded.

Sounds like you have got it covered tho

    Cheers
