banner graphics: prairie banner
Hi all…
Here are two banners that I helped to design.
The first is from Paint the Prairie, a meet I attended in Saskatchewan Canada.
It was a group effort, but I did the layout.
The second is for the upcoming International Letterheads meet in Detroit.
(I designed it first, hence the similarity)
The logo is by a man named Mark Casey, I painted and gilded it all myself.
I did the layout using old alphabets from the early 20th century.
That’s Justis with a crewcut, helping to hold it steady!

Nice work!! Hand painted, you all do a terrific job, I can only imagine what my hand painted banner would like and its not a pretty thought believe me :lol1:

Glad you guys like the banners.
I was asked by the host of the International if I would paint his banner,
I guess because I hosted the International meet in 2002 in Mars.
It’s a huge honor for me.
The banner was donated to me by a company that has helped me in the past.
They might raffle it off to benefit The Sign Museum,
or who knows what will happen. It’s 3’x10′.Justis does show promise at art and he is great at removing vynull from old signs.
I’ve never tried to shove signwriting down my kid’s throats,
but gee whiz it would be swell to have a helper.
I pay him $5 a week or 5 Matchbox cars.
Yes, I know he’s cheap child labor!
