    Hey guys,

I want to fix a banner to a wall. I know I can use sail track for this but this is for a somewhat short promotion and the client is busting my chops to have it ready in two days.

Also this banner is 5 metres by 1 metre.

Can I just put the eyelets and screw it to the wall with some sort of a washer?

Has anyone else done this sort of thing? I don’t really want the fixings to show through that much.

    Cheers
    Jason

Yeh, done it that way a few time.

Nice big 1" ‘penny’ washers 🙂 – not TOO noticeable as it’s where the eyelets are anyway.

If its short term, eyelets in the wall and the rip ties (cable ties, whatever you call em!) Put the eyelets slightly wider and higher than the banner and use the ties to tension it into place. Works really well as long as customer is aware of the limitations and prepared to go and replace the odd tie every now and then!

Very quick to change banners for the next promotion as well!

cherwells sell a product called vk plugs also, basically all you do is drill a hole and hammer them in..easy peasy. so long as these fit snug into the eyelet they work very well too.

Hey guys installed the banner today went fine. Screws and washers worked a treat. Can see it in the portfolio forum.
