I know what you mean robert, we pass many signs of similar quality! It might be worth us sending our own experiences of bad signs and posting them here.

I used to drop a card off if I saw a sign like this but you invariably know that it’ll be a cheap job! 🙄

So embarassed was I by the Junior Schools efforts to write School Fayre’ on an old sheet that I done them a cheapy Tyvek Banner free of charge and am still reaping the benefits now with the word of mouth that it created 2 years ago! (Those Parent Teacher types are great for spreading the word in a small village!!) (:) (:)

It’s great to see the old craft hasn’t died out altogether. 😮

He’s probably doing a roaring trade picking up all those customers who believe that if he’s not spending money on “expensive” signs his repairs will be cheap. And they’re no doubt right, cheap and very shoddy like his sign.

Oh Shucks you’ve found me out Guys
I’ve been down on my luck lately
    Been hitting the bottle
The guy promised me if I did him a sign he’d sort me out with another four x and a dog roll.
I would have added a bit of colour but the blue in the tin was crusty and hard
Customer was a nice guy: He let me stay in his work shop overnight as I had nowhere to stay
