    Hi Guys

I got an Epson R285 and since hooking up the CISS the cyan cartridge does not seem to want to suck in through, if I force t through it prints perfect for about 50mm then starts banding and gets worse as it goes until eventually running out of cyan all together (I presume when the cartridge runs dry although the bulk container is still full.

all others print perfectly, any ideas as to why and what to do to get the ink flowing in to the cart?

    cheers

    Warren

Could there be some air locked in the system? I had a similar issue with my Epson 1400 with bulk feed system.

Im not familiar with your set up but mine came with a syringe for such issues. I just lifted the cartridges out slightly and pushed the syringe into the cartridge until it was at the bottom and pulled some ink through until it was all ink and no air.

Then I just stuck it back in the bulk containers.

    Thanks for the help Paul

    Just to update…

After many attempts from different angles and holes to suck, push and will the ink through I decided to put the original Epson ink carts in that came with the printer to try find out if it was the printer or the CISS but the original inks printed perfect first time.

    so…….

I put the CISS back in and did a test print and holy poopy it works now 😮

what was all that about (?)

    happy days 😛

Glad its working for you now warren, i thought it might have been printing on a fast setting or low quality as my old epson used to do that with normal inks. Did you manage to sort out the magneta problem?.

    Hi John

Yes the magenta was solved by throwing the ink away that came in the CISS and putting fresh ink it it 😕
