Started back on Saturday! Fitted 90 signs at the main hospital on Saturday and Sunday for an enforced no smoking ban on the entire site! 😀
Was in work yesterday but got up this morning snowed in, so taking the day off. (Live near Manchester airport which is now closed).
Hey Ho! Plenty of drink in stock (drink1)

Was back in yesterday … never stopped as we are manic at the moment….set off for an early start this morning but the snow is really bad in Wakefield and at it has taken me 90 mins to do 3 miles which included a helping hand getting up a slight incline from a friendly 4×4 driver.

Damn weather …. How do you plan any jobs when the weather is like this 👿 👿 🙄

At least we are next door to a pub and across the road from a buttie shop :lol1: :lol1:

    Cheers

    Gary

Started back today – first job was to dig out a parking space for the van and clear a track up to the roller shutter so we can get vehicles inside. I’m puggled (puppy-eyes)

I know the feeling Phill. I had to mow all the lawns around my house, factory and paths, as the weather is very conducive to grass growing very fast, and its snake season…. if you know what I mean 😮 I’m knackered too

back today for me too ………. nice freezing cold walk to work this morning then came in to Fiona making everyone in the garage porridge ………… I hate the stuff, but since my new year resolution is to eat healthier I thought I’d give it a go. 🙁 ewwww, not good. Never again. 🙁
Quiet in here today so I’m tidying and cleaning my office. Hopefully it’ll be therapeutic and clear out all the sh*t in my head too! 😀

I started yesterday (well attempted to!)….it was really hard to get out of bed with a nice warm husband to cuddle up to…..then he went out to work along with the teenagers going to school, work and college…then for the first time in weeks I had the place to myself! quite a shock trying to get motivated…even tho there is a pile of work to do….

funny…the thought for the day on radio 2 was going on about not being hard on oneself….so I am going to have another cuppa.

Nice to know I am not on my own in the coming back to work blues…. now its not so bad…… 😀 😀

Supposed to start yesterday but thought what the heck!
Started today but at a comfortable pace
I’ve had nearly 2 weeks off (1 week in Lanzarote)

Used to only get Christmas day and boxing day off at one time

I never stopped, even though it was fairly slow.
I do have a lovely little pug to cuddle with in bed.
I was glad for school starting back up again yesterday, it feels good to be back into the old "routine".
Now to get busy on my income taxes…sigh.

Well not exactly the same then

Talking off snuggling up we found we went to bed really early last night (no rude comments please 🙂 ) Must be the cold cold weather. Anybody else do the same?

I haven’t started work again yet, was thinking maybe the 7th or 8th but can’t decide between the two. Not sure if it would be better to start in July or August :lol1:

Today was the first day I really did anything major.
Getting off my hiney and doing something was good medicine and put me in the mood for more work!

Told the wife that I felt a bit guilty taking time off work while she was going out to work but she says I need to take a break every now and then so why not now when things are slow

good wife…i would say the same to my husband…but he is out there trying to do the 25 miles to work in these conditions….more ice than snow at the mo and loads of blue sky….
but for me………I work from home so NO excuse for doing nothing!! :lol1:

Well I am stuck at home, roads are clear, the missus has gone and my van won’t start. Drained 2 batteries trying to start it. Now waiting for one battery to fast charge. 🙄
I have a beetle in the garage that is on sorn 🙄 My campervan has a flat tire and no mot and that battery is also flat. My motorbike also won’t start and my sons scooter is there but I don’t think he would be to chuffed if I swiped that. Well and truly stuffed for the next 2 hours. 👿
Plenty of work sitting there which is most annoying after having 10 days holiday with no pay and now this! (:) (hot)

My morning started badly today. First my wipe blade snapped when I first tried to use it this morning (It was frozen to the screen) so I drove to the local garage to buy a new blade. While I was inside queued up to buy a new wiper I watched through the showroom window open mouthed as another customer proceeded to drive into my parked van. Not as a result of ice and snow I hasten to add – simply bad driving and poor judgment as she maneuvered her car on the forecourt.

I felt like Victor Meldrew as I stood in the queue shouting "I do not believe it". I’m sure the garage staff enjoyed the spectacle (but were too polite to let on) as I flounced out to tackle the offending driver with the biggest strop since Paul McCartney left the Beatles. :baby:
Fortunately Alison was there and took control of the situation 😕

They say bad luck comes in threes – what’s next in store for my van today?
