• ArtCut 6 files

Posted by Andrew Bennett on 16 January 2006 at 20:00

I hope this is the right board.

A friend recently sent me an artcut 6 file but I cannot import it into corel.
Can anyone tell me if there is a convertor for artcut files please?
    regards
    Andrew

If you want to email it Andrew, I will see if Illustrator will look at it.

Sorry Andrew. I’ve tried all my normal tricks but nothing I’ve got will look at it.

No problem John, Thanks for trying.
Maybe someone knows of a url for downloading a demo of artcut 6 so I can save it in a different file format?

    Hi Andrew,
I’ve had a mess around with artcut 2002 this morning and the only way I can transfere artwork to corel 12 is by the following method:
open artcut, export the artwork as a “PLT” file. import into corel. seems to work but the artwork came out mirrored and in curves, I think.
You will have to get back to your customer and ask for the artwork to be sent as a PLT file.
    Hope this helps.
