Are the craft robo’s anygood?
Posted by Daniel Owen on 19 July 2011 at 13:35I’ve seen a craft robo cc200-20 for £90. Which would be the ideal size for cutting small decals for me.
Are they good at cutting small lettering etc.
Thanks
Dan

No. Had one, jogged it on.
Your current plotter with a suitable new, sharp blade & with the speed turned down will be far more capable & superior than any Craft Robo.

Had ago of my mates this morning.
And it is useless for anything more than craft work.
So just going to stick with mine for now

If your use to using a big plotter you will find the craft robo a tad annoying. Its good if you have never used a plotter before. However it is not great at holding vinyl – I use to stick vinyl with tape to the backing tray so it would swivel about.
A 24 inch vinyl cutter would be just the same at cutting small lettering as a craft robo.
The only major benefit I found with the craft robo is you could be more resourceful and use small off cuts and cut out a little letter or name.
