I would say Yes, its down to personal preference. But i would also say you really should try others. I mainly use one squeegee… but i do occasionally chop and change dependant on the application.
felt blocks are great and yes i went through a period of "only" using them, but you move on seeing benefits of other types. felt tends to flex allot after a few hours of using them. if you move to a thicker one you fell like your holding a brick.
i like a 3m gold for general vinyl application and glass etch work.
but avery felt/nylon for wrapping.
Avery has around 5 of the same squeegee but different types of pvc used.
orange – softer, flexible, nylon and felt, use on curved surfaces.
blue – stiffer pvc than orange, felt and nylon, use on both curved and flat surfaces
white – stiff, teflon type pvc, doesnt scratch the likes of carbon films etc has felt edge also. glides very fast over vinyls. use on flat and gentle curved surfaces.
i haven’t tried the others avery ones, but there is 3 of a single manufacturer, and all very different from the other.
