Application Fluid Info & Advice Please
Posted by Bob @ Prestige on 30 March 2005 at 09:20Can anyone offer any advice regarding application fluid ? I have done some graphics/lettering requiring shadows, overlaying etc and just used water with a little soap but as you can imagine it takes forever before I can remove the application tape.
I have enquired about application fluid/rapid tac but it seems expensive, about £10.00 per litre.
Do any of you guys use anything else or have your own cocktail so to speak.
Cheers
Bob

I use rapidtac and rapidprep and tho its a little pricey, it works well and in the end saves time waiting for water and soap to dry. But I reckon everyone has their favourites.

Thanks for the prompt replies, Lynn, I am not that experienced regarding vinyl application, more a window film guy, the ones i was doing were pretty big and as i am on my own didn’t want to take any chances not linning up properly. The fluid you mention from cherwells, is it the pro spray?
Cheers

Hi Bob
the last one i got from cherwells was called Overlay quite good but found it went off a bit to quick on small stuff 🙂

Try Rapid Products.
Original Rapid Tac smells so good you almost want to drink it.
Rapid Tac II sets up much faster.
Rapid Prep is a great cleaner.Send for free samples.
It is pricey but it is worth it, much better than home-brew.

If you still wish to use your homemade brew…just add a tsp. of Rubbing Alcohol to your spray bottle (large spray bottle) this will help in evaporation. 😀
