I’ve got a problem with an exhibition sign request, the client needs me to print a 9m banner and two 3m banners, to be hung on the back wall of a booth.

Originally, I was going to velcro them to the cloth walls, but I’m told today the walls are white formica type material. I guess I’ll not be able to screw anything in to the wall either, so could anyone tell me what they do for exhibition stuff in this situation.

I’m still tempted to use adhesive velcro loop on the back of the banner, and stick the velcro hook to the wall.

This V-Grip thing I found whilst searching for ideas. Looks fantastic if you check out the videos, and I was trying to conjure up some way I could use it for this project.

This one has me stumped right now. Perhaps I’m not seeing something obvious?

Any ideas or direction would be appreciated…..

    Thanks Fellas,

Brilliant link. I stumbled across their Qld agent today, but they don’t have anywhere near the same catalogue…. I’ve used the plastic gripper in the past, bit flimsy, but plenty of other stuff there

I’ll ring them on monday I think, and see what they suggest.

    Cheers

Shane, I’ve sewed velcro to the back of banners so they can be hung from carpeted walls at shows, but the other day I started wondering about sewing rope in and then threading the banner into sail track- even if just done on the top edge, it would be good, and the rigidy would help too.
I think you can get pre-roped piping, which can be flat-sewn onto the banners, too.

Thanks Ian, I do a lot of sail track stuff, but I can’t screw anything into the wall, to hold the aluminum sail slider.

I also found a local V Grip distributor today. The V Grip is a bit dear to buy. $15 per 6m length for sail track, against $118 per 3.1m length for V Grip.

I think I’ll go with the velcro, and cut the 9m banner into 3m lengths too. Just waiting on the client to confirm I can stick stuff on the walls..

Still open for suggestions tho. Thanks for replying mate
