anyone recommend a oracal and avery vinyl supplier
Posted by Peter Holt on 11 October 2011 at 20:38Hi guys,
can anyone recommend a good supplier for Avery and Oracal vinyl?
I would be interested to hear your recommendations especially with regards to minimum order quantities and shipping as both of those conditions seem to rack the price up massively.
I have a search through the forum and some recent experiences would be most appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Hi Peter, we use Robert Horne and are very happy with their service and prices. We can buy minimum of 5m in either 24" or 48" rolls. I think their main base is in Northhampton, we are based in N Ireland but if we get an order in with their Belfast office before 4pm it is with us next day.

Depends where you are based. I use RHG as well and am pretty happy with the service. Like people have said minimum order of 5 metres and next day delivery. They have branches through out UK. No minimum order price but to get free delivery you have to spend over a certain amount.
That’s why I say it depends where your based. If you live close enough to a depot then you can pop in and collect the vinyl yourself if it’s a small order, that way you don’t pay the delivery charges.

MDP online are quite good, delivery next day and it’s FREE with orders over £100

Can’t See MDP being able to beat RHG on Oracal prices. I think you also only need to spend £70 for free delivery, (if i am right)
Robert Horne are the sole distributor of Oracal in the UK.
Robert Horne are also the only ones to offer "both" Oracal & Avery" from under the one roof, but companies like Spandex UK do offer Avery too… -
i used robert horne too, for most materials. Very competitive on prices.

Had a delivery from Robert Horne today, ordered late yesterday, included one slit roll, delivered before 10am. Minimum order now £75 plus vat, so not unattainable if you have a couple of items. They say to add a day if ordering sheets cut to size, but often they also have turned up next day.
I am more than happy with both prices (as a UKSG member, don’t think it would be quite so good if not a member) and service, and rarely now use other suppliers, as RH, now it is such a large group, can supply virtually everything a sign maker or printer requires in the way of media. -
MDP don’t do Avery at all and they only stock a very limited range of Oracal Vinyl. Can’t remember which ones off the top of my head but no where near the full range.

Ok that’s odd, I replied to this the first time and it double posted. Now both replies have vanished…
Paid for my membership on weds, not heard anything since receiving me email, is that normal?

Hi Guys,
Robert is right And we do deliver to all but the most extreme places in the UK next day, no min order value and FOC for orders of £75 or more.
Hope that helps.

I’ve just ordered some Avery 700 from Robert Horne.
My customer stipulated the vinyl and code.
Avery 714-01 Lime Tree Green.
When I ordered I asked for it as I know how particular this customer is.
Collected it today only to find it was Avery 714 Lime Green. 😮
The difference is next to nothing but this customer will notice.
I rang the RH fearing I’d need to buy another 15m of bright green vinyl. Problem solved I will return it tomorrow and collect the correct colour.
All suppliers are great when you’re spending cash with them, it’s when things go wrong they show their true colours.
10/10 RH and your prices were very competitive with the added bonus I can collect it 9am the very next day free.
