anyone have info on perforated vinyl?
Posted by CAT on 30 March 2005 at 13:59ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PERFORATED VINYL, I THINK IT ONLY COMES IN ONE COLOUR, WHITE, ITS THE STUFF YOU PUT ON VAN WINDOWS SO YOU CAN SEE OUT BUT NOT IN. 🙄

THANKS DEX HAD A LOOK AT THAT FORUM BUT IT WOULD NOT LET ME IN SOMTHING TO DO WITH USERS GRANTED SPECIAL ACCESS CAN READ TOPICS IN THAT FORUM.

various suppliers now offer perforated vinyl. prices vary, better asking around because its not cheap. comes in white because its mainly for printing onto for building wraps, car wraps, adverts in shop windows etc
check the demo that dex is pointing you too, shows you how to make basicaly the same stuff fast and from any type of vinyl.

3M, avery, kpmf, madico, oracal among others all do a version of perforated window film. From what I understand its a process rather than a product and one that is strongly protected by patents by the UK company Contravision.
As far as i know white is the standard but you can get first and second surface film, and the film is available in various percentages of holes to vinyl.
If it is going to be applied on the external window you will need to use the right laminate ie an optically clear overlaminate, and edge seal it.
