Looking for a basic image (can’t draw to save my life – on a pc at least!) of some text being sped away….
It’s to go on a Mk2 escort rally car so something with a pair of wheels spinning away would be good. Where the car is i’ll need to replace it with text "Neilson Pinto".
    Anything or pointers greatly accepted…..

I’m still looking for this (on & off) if anyone has anything drawn up??
The wording is actually NELSON ENGINES as in another of my posts in here. Client got it wrong after i cut a few designs with the word "Neilson" !?!

    Thanks so much

just had a look thru my fonts, i thought i had ‘race’ but seem to have lost it, i have raceway which is similar, but don’t think it’s what you’re looking for,

go to dafont.com, go to ‘z’ in the search, and try zoom, i’m pretty sure that’s where o got it from, i think it’s the kinds thing you’re looking for.

oh i see now! thought you meant a font that looked like it was moving.

what software do you use ? could prob talk you through making something like that, would be a better learning curve too!

I use Illustrator CS3 – it should be a relatively simple image to draw, i can get the shapes and lines etc but there is no sense of "speed" behind them, just two squashed elipses and some lines…..yet when i draw it it seems to be ok…..
If you have 5, i’d love you to throw something together and explain how it’s done Hugh, I couldn’t of hoped for more mate. Cheers.

it always worries me when people buy an expensive program but cant use it…You may have done better to start off with something more simple

don’t we all do that once upon a time, Peter? 😉

try this mate, can’t talk you thru it as i made it in coreldraw12, it was part of some graphics i did for a custom ‘scumball’ rally car. just added some swooshy things really, it’s a case of play around until it looks right really, this isn’t perfect, but it might give you something to think on or play with.

How do you expect people to learn if they haven’t the software Peter?
I believe that if someone commits to spending the best part of £1500 on software, then they earn the right to deserve some respect…….I could have bought some "simpler" software, and then i’d still be in the same position as and when i upgraded to AI wouldn’t I?????
Rant over, i wish PN would put some thought into his posts……….your enough to scare people away. (chat.) (:)

PS. cheers hugh, i’ts nice to have something to disect, and work from. I will draw something of my own and post it up as a way of saying thanks, and show Peter……….i’m learning!!
