Do you think it would be a good for wiping after cleaning just before applying do you think?

I use a tack rag, just let it ‘float’ across the surface, they are after all covered in a wax!!

i also use one with my Edge2…. unfold it, then wrap around a piece of
10mm foamex(doubled to make 20mm) and let it sit against the brush as the vinyl travels through. Surprising how much it picks up. Turn it inside out as required therebyusing both surfaces .

Using tack rags isn’t going to help you with the problem you are having as they will only remove dust and dirt, they won’t stop you getting air bubbles which are probably caused by the way you apply the vinyl.
As for cleaning fluids apart from meths you could try lighter fluid which probably works out a bit expensive or isopropyl alchohol (IPA).

Make sure your squegee is flat and not bowed in the middle, sharpen it to make it flat again if it is bowed as this will help prevent air bubbles.
