  • Anybody recognise this font?

Posted by John Childs on April 15, 2004 at 12:49 pm

Can anyone help in identifying this font please.

Unfortunately the person in the client’s marketing department who has this information is on holiday and I’d like to get some drawings done quickly.

    Thanks in advance.

Don’t you hate it when that happens? 🙁

I’ll try attaching an Illustrator file then.

It won’t open in illustrator. Opens in Acrobat reader though. I don’t recognise it, sorry.

Looks like Blue Highway Deluxe Bold which I’ve never heard of before… but now I think about it, I’m isn’t there a SignLab font called Highway that’s very similar?

I think it might have been a bit mangled and the figures appear to be from the Expanded style.

Well, Blue Highway is almost there. The kerning is all wrong and the proportions are a bit out.

However, the basic letter shapes are right and, with a bit of tweaking, I can get it close enough for my purposes. Fortunately the parent company is in Germany and unlikely to see the finished product except in photographs, and as long as it looks about right the English guys won’t ask too many questions.

    Problem solved. Thanks guys.
