  • Any new methods of getting around low VOC paints, for vinyl wall graphics?

    Hi All

This has been discussed many times but just wondered if anyone has any updates on the subject – specifically around print/cut vinyl onto low VOC walls?

No problems as such with full coverage wallpaper with a good pre-prep of some or even all of an IPA wash, diluted PVA wash, sealer/size, light sanding, etc. plus a nice high tack media, however, cut vinyl still problematic!

IPA wash leaves visible marks on the wall, you can’t prime/seal just the cut vinyl areas, very hard to burnish text without marking the wall – and on and on.

I’m tempted to start refusing to install cut vinyl onto any more walls.
    So any new suggestions?

    Cheers

    Dave

    Hi David
What brand/type of vinyl are you using for the cut vinyl graphics?

    Hi David,
I print & cut the high tack media, or you could use Image Perfect’s HT range as they have an assortment of colours already with high tack glue.
