  • Any ideas for pub table flags /markers?

Posted by Natasha Thomas on 15 June 2010 at 21:06

    Hi guys.
I’m looking for pub table flags or at least some ideas for blanks that we customise with numbers. We’ve been tasked with coming up with something new – has anyone made anything like this before? The customer orders their meal and are given a flag to take to the table – outdoors.

One thing to bear in mind; it’s right on the sea front and anything too ‘nice’ tends to be packed in a suitcase as a souvenir!

Popular & cheap one seems to be wooden spoons with numbers painted on them.

Whether on a wooden base or popped into a small vase.

    Hi ‘Tash

    Totally agree with David

A wooden spoon you collect the bar, decorated at your customers choice. (table number, logo etc…). Waiter comes round, you show your spoon!!

If you google ‘spoon art’ there are people who burn emblems/logos/your art into spoons very cheap. Don’t go for big companies, try the back street Welsh market traders. Looking at a couple a quid a shout and good for local economy as oppose to fat cat money!

it may be worthwhile informing the customer that once there staff have served the meal to the table in question, that staff should remove flag/spoon and take it back in!

Cheers for the advice, I think we’re going to make them. The pub’s by the sea and they want a sail shape rather than a spoon.
    Thanks for the advice
