  • Any help with extra sticky vinyl for wall art.

Hi all I was wondering if anyone might be able to suggest a brand of vinyl that would be suitable for creating wall art to stick onto internal painted walls. I am having some difficulty using jac vinyl, I just cant get to stick very well.
    Many thanks in advance

I’ve used Oracal vinyls on painted walls without any problems. But could it be that the paint used on the wall you are experimenting with is at fault?

For example – if the wall is only very recently painted it will still be outgassing which will cause the edges of the vinyl to curl. The answer is to leave the paint longer to fully harden before trying to apply vinyl.

Also – some matt paints that are non-vinyl based won’t work no matter what you try (very powdery surface).

Had excellent results with 3M 50 series – one of the stickiest I’ve seen in a ‘normal’ vinyl range.
