I haven’t found a good clear app tape yet. If you do a lot of layering you might be better off making a light box?

    Already got one John,
but it’s a pig to work on!
Of course that could be because I’m 6’3" and the light-box is set at 3’3".
Maybe worth chopping myself off at the knee’s to compensate :headbang2:

    Try this:

    http://www.rtape.com/en/products/digita … g/digimask

DigiMask® Clear features a rigid polypropylene facestock, which resists stretching during graphics application to prevent misalignment of panels. The clear protective film allows inspection of prints and precise registration of graphic panels during installation

not sure why you need clear to aid alignment?

that’s what phone directories are for! i use a lightbox 90% of the time (my whole bench), set at around 3’8", bit high for some stuff but a nice height for non shorties! occasionally use clear but, it’s the remainder of a roll i bought about 5yrs ago! no idea what or where!

I use clear to help with alignment all the time, as Phill says helps you see the vinyl a lot better.
I just use the stuff from europoint though, not really looked about to much for a better price as a roll lasts me for quite some time.

I still haven’t got any idea how clear helps with aligning when doing layers 🙄 I seriously never have a problem

We use nothing but clear. The stuff from Europoint has a rough texture and really aids dry application.
