    Hi,

For donkeys we have dry applied or simply used soapy water. However I had experience at using a product called OVERLAY which was quite amazing. Where would I get this?

Also I am looking for an anti-static spray, where would I get this?

    thanks,

    Richard

You can get Overlay from Cherwell Sign supplies. It’s overated & overpriced IMO, & I get just as good results from using Chewells own brand stuff (Prospray) mixed with 50% water.

I’m pretty sure they sell anti-static too, but I’ve never got on with the stuff myself.

Get them on 01280 840297 – really decent bunch. I’ve used them for years.

i think allot of this stuff is a gimmik. have a clean working area with a decent worktop. (not a plywood type worktop) clean it down, wipe panel and surrounding area with a damp cloth etc
lots of things come into play that will cause crap under your vinyl. i.e. you could have the cleanest work area around, but bits of dust on the front of your top from an earlier job. remove the vinyl from the backing paper and the dust will jump onto the vinyl due to static charge. as i said, "everything must be clean"
how clean just goes with the working conditions of the individual… it takes me only a minute or two to clean around where i would lay up a sign.

you can buy "Overlay" from europoint.

If you want to reduce static, just atomise water around your work environment. Usually something that simple can reduce static substantially.
