    Hi All

Is there such a thing as an anti static matt that I could put on my bench?

I’ve got lots of perspex signs around 1200 x 250mm that need flood coating. Its an ongoing contract for a big company but its proving difficult to keep them completely dust/swarf free. I currently put some backing paper on my bench, spray a fine mist of water on it, I then meticulously clean them with tack rags like they use in car body shops and then flood coat. The customer is happy with them but there is always a few tiny dust specs which I cant seam to stop.

I even thought about running a hoover constantly next to where I’m working on my bench?

Can anyone suggest a technique or something I could buy/make to help keep them consistantly clean?

    thanks

for cleaning surfaces, after we spray water we wipe with a window-cleaner wiper blade.

dont generally get any issues with static an acrylic or with static in that sense, but every time you rub, you generate voltage.

thanks for the reply. I’ll try that. I just reread my post – I mean I spray a mist onto the clean backing paper on my bench. I do the flood coating dry, I just use the water in an effort to keep the dust down on the bench.

It might not be a static issue, I just assumed it was. I keep everything as clean as possible and clean again after each item. any suggestions welcomed
