just been contacted by a representitive of the USAFA (US AirForceAcademy – cadets),

apparently I did some t-shirt for them, I don’t recall if i did but certainly not a couple of hundred like they require now. apparently his predecessor gave him my details.

anyone else been asked to make a couple of hundred Squadron Shirts?

not sure if it’s a scam or not, something a bit fishy!

    quote :

I was told from the previous guy with my job that we had ordered shirts with y’all. We are over here at the Air Force Academy and ordered squadron 28 t-shirts with all the names of the cadets in our squad printed on the back. I was told that y’all would still have the template and that way we could just “update” the names. Would you guys have any idea what I’m talking about? I hope so, but if not then maybe we could work out a deal so we could order a couple hundred shirts with y’all anyway!

    The clue is in the"Y’all" :lol1: :lol1:

A genuine enquirer may actually speak like that – but never , ever, ever, would they write an email that way.. unless of course they were a criminal gang based in Nigeria.

Write back telling them to fuck off

thought as much, a quick google and look over the proper academy website suggests that they’d not be using y’all too!

There used to be a character called "Oreo" who frequented these boards in the Early days. He claimed to be a Native American and all his posts were written in pidgin english. On evening during a live chat session the comments were coming thick and fast and as his typing speed increased his english improved to the extent that he no longer typed in pidgin English. It was at that point I realised he was a fake even though he had been conning us for about six months or so :lol1: :lol1:
