I was wondering what you guys who have 30″ printers do for full color prints on 4 foot wide banners? I just recently did a 4′ X 12′ banner full color and printed vinyl then applied to the banner in a few panels, flood coated it. Is this ok? I am starting to wish that I bought a wider machine as now I have a client who wants these sized banners but will be ordering 6-8 of them a month, just wondering if flood coating the banner in print is a safe way to go. Any advice is appreciated.

I would have thought you would get problems with printing and appllying solvent vinyl to banners. Plastiser migration – curling up and all. At 6-8 a month at that size it may be just as well to farm this out and get them printed directly onto the banners.

Thanks for the replies. I will talk to my supplier about possible materials to use.
