  • Aluminium projecting signs, supplier please?

    Hi all,

I don’t have the toolbar on this computer also looking for something very specific.

I need a projecting sign one piece of aluminum but I need 2 fixing plates at the base ie one on each side to give a bit of extra support! – as its going in a very windy place!

A one piece sign would be OK ie one piece of aluminum moulded and bent with. I have tried Ashby but they don’t do them does anyone else supply these?

    Hi Dave,

600 x 600 looking at a budget sign really Asbhy do them with one bend but that only gives one side to use for fixing, ideally I need two?

Just use 2 pieces of ally angle, one each side and bolted or riveted through the panel

I made some using exactly Peter’s method recently. Worked a treat. I stuck the ali angle with VHB tape first to give it a bit of compression when the bolts were tightened, but that was probably overkill.

I wouldn’t use rivets though. Bolt it together.
