This stuff is very expensive! Does anybody know of an alternative product for digital printing? I was thinking about encapsulated blue back maybe?

    Ryan,
no offence meant, but as you are a supplier I think you may be asking a loaded question. Correct me if Im wrong.

I’m not a supplier Peter, I made a mistake on sign up but I can’t get it changed for some reason.

yes lots of alternatives if you dont mind it looking sht!

Duratran is actually a photographic paper made by Kodak it has become a generic name for backlit media much like the example of Hoover.

Best “duratran” print is off a Lambda on proper duratran media from kodak, agfa, fuji andpocessed in the traditional manner.

Backlit inkjet printing requires good media, good printer and a good profile to ensure good strong colours.

print on a piece of bog roll and stick a light behind it, wehey you have a “duratran” but we all know it only really has one use!

Ryan, I just visited your videos on your weblink… you have sparkling lights in a WKD bottle and some text flashing in a Energy word…

Is this your work? Looks really impressive..

Have you ask Rob to change your details… also have you posted in “Say Hello” and uploaded an Avatar?

Thanks Dave, yes thats our recent work, we mainly do outdoor advertising work and speciality projects n displays for bigger companies.

I’ve emailed Rob but not really getting anywhere tbh, I think he thinks I’m Amari in disguise but I’m not, just another sign company like you boys. On the signup it asks if your a supplier and I ticked yes in the sense we are a supplier of signage, a costly mistake by the looks of things 😳

Cheers John too, the job in question is just a small one for some friends of ours but they had a heart attack when quoted silly money for a small sign. We like to help where we can so I’m going to try the blueback route, if it looks bad they will just have to pay the money!
