    We use tack rags but we also clean regularly too

    we coat once with water and then use a window-scraper to dry/clean the surface (like what a window cleaner uses)
    we then soak again to apply the graphic

    We do that for flood coating large single colour vinyls, we just have an issue with cut graphics (contour cut logos etc) with application tape. Im gonna try the tack cloths, i’ve also purchased some anti static spray from maplins, hopefully this will reduce the problem.

    any good motor factors will sell tack rags, make up the order and get some 3m masking tape at the same time. They do excellent prices if brought by the box

    I wipe down the surface with this when mounting to acrylic or foamex.. for ACM i find a tac rag is enough.
